The Write Place
Contests

Feeling trapped? Click here to break out of another site's frames. Scroll down to view contests.
In the 1990s, I created a database to track writing contests in chronological order and wrote the original bimonthly "Contests Column" published in The Christian Author, the
official newsletter for the Northwest Christian Writers' Association, and later for the new e-zine, www.SpiritLedWriter.com.
Thank you for your patience during the past year as I completed a double major in English and journalism at the University of Iowa, followed by the devastating Midwest flood last summer when I assisted with recovery efforts, then began work on my graduate studies at the University.
The contests column, which ran bimonthly since 1992, is back. Bookmark this page and check back for updates. If you manage a resource site for writers, please mention "The Write Place - Contests Column by Kimn Swenson Gollnick" and place a link to this site. Send me an e-mail to let me know. Thanks!
This information is intended for informational and inspirational purposes only. Portions of this column by Kimn Swenson Gollnick appear in the archives of the www.SpiritLedWriter.com. Unless otherwise noted, all addresses listed are in the UNITED STATES.
NOTE: "Fee-free" contests are INDENTED for easier viewing.
Unless otherwise noted, dates are "postmarked by" deadlines.
